ASHRAE Level II Energy Audit

Eneractive was contracted by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to conduct an ASHRAE Level II Energy Audit on the Rockefeller Building. As per ASHRAE guidelines and in accordance with NYC Local Law 87 Energy Audit Requirements, Eneractive’s scope of work focused on: identifying and developing capital-intensive ECMs, and providing an economic analysis of each issue and ECM to assist in prioritization and budgeting.

Testing results indicated that the majority of HVAC equipment in the facility were properly installed and well maintained, with just one exception: the VAV air distribution system proved to have deficiencies attributed to the dated age. The Eneractive team identified and analyzed a number of ECMs that will reduce site energy consumption annually by approximately 3,967,996 kWh and 16,442 MMBtu of steam.

ACHIEVEMENTS

- $1,027,622 in annual energy savings

- Reduction of 18.7% of building’s total energy consumption
