MSKCC Main Campus

Benchmarking Pilot

Eneractive was contracted by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to perform an operational assessment on all the facilities of its main campus located at 1275 York Avenue. The initiative was funded through NYSERDA’s FlexTech program, which allowed Eneractive’s team to provide benchmarking services through the U.S. EPA’s Portfolio Manager to assist the facilities team compliance with Local Law 87.

The primary objective was optimization of daily operations, thereby reducing energy consumption without significant capital investment. The team centered its analysis on how the existing building systems worked together and identification of no or low-cost operation and maintenance improvements. Through extensive testing and field visits, the team recommended measures that focused on building system adjustments in order to achieve performance as intended in the original design, as well as performance optimization & improvement of existing systems.
