AHU Analysis

Eneractive was contracted by the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Facilities Management team to conduct testing and perform an engineering analysis on the air handling unit serving the Integrative Medicine facility located at 1429 First Avenue in Manhattan, New York.

This effort was initiated to determine the most beneficial course of action to resolve the identified operational and comfort issues. The testing and analysis conducted served to quantify and qualify the opportunity for optimizing the existing AHU, as well as to provide bid documentation to aid in the implementation of the recommendations.

Resultant from Eneractive’s comprehensive analysis, the team identified the AHU and associated air distribution systems were unable to meet the building’s comfort and operational needs due to significant control flaws, balance issues, and equipment failures. The team recommended the AHU be replaced and modifications to the air distribution system be made.
