MSKCC CENTRAL STERILIZATION
Eneractive was contracted by the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Facilities Management Team to conduct a review and assessment of the HVAC systems serving the Central Sterilization area of its 1275 York Avenue facility in Manhattan, New York. This effort was initiated due to the high volume of temperature complaints received in the area; thus, the intention of the project was to conduct an assessment on existing conditions while also investigating other factors affecting occupant comfort.
Upon thorough review, the Eneractive team uncovered numerous issues attributing to the comfort issue being experienced by the staff – most of which pertained to equipment and airflow balancing issues. Using the data provided to the team, in conjunction with data acquired through extensive Eneractive testing and research, several findings and recommendations were highlighted and identified for corrective action.
