ASHRAE Level II Energy Audit and Operational Assessment

As part of a continuing effort to identify opportunities for energy conservation, Eneractive was contracted by the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to conduct an ASHRAE Level II Energy Audit and operational assessment on its Outpatient Center in Manhattan, New York. As per ASHRAE guidelines and in accordance with NYC Local Law 87 Energy Audit Requirements, Eneractive’s scope of work focused on: identifying and developing capital-intensive ECMs and providing economic analysis of each issue and ECM to assist in prioritization and budgeting.

Through extensive testing, field inspections, and interviews, the Eneractive team identified a number of ECMs for implementation that addressed the inefficiencies of the equipment and in turn, reduced site energy consumption annually by 380,000 kWh. Moreover, the recommended measures equated to $64,600 in annual savings and 42% of the building’s energy consumption.

ACHIEVEMENTS

- 42% reduction in energy consumption

- Simple economic payback of 3.97 years
