Fundamental Commissioning

The Township of Livingston had outgrown its existing facilities and was in need of additional space to house the general municipal and court offices, as well as the police headquarters. Understanding the challenges of providing a modern government facility with state of the art mechanical systems, the township contracted Eneractive to act as its Commissioning Agent and develop/implement a construction phase Commissioning Plan covering the buildings’ energy systems. These systems were inclusive of heating hot water boilers, air cooled chillers, central air handlers with terminal variable-air-volume boxes, domestic water heaters, and miscellaneous heating and cooling devices.

Through the process, Eneractive identified the pertinent responsibilities of each construction team member, developed testing procedures, and oversaw the ensuing testing effort to ensure the final systems operated as the project engineer had designed.
