The executive and senior management team of General Growth Properties has begun to focus on their practices for sustainability, reducing energy use, and lowering energy costs at one of their premier properties: 200 E. Pratt Street in Baltimore, Maryland. In addition to achieving LEED status, GGP participated in BGE’s Smart Energy Savers Full RCx Program. The BGE RCx Program offered financial incentives for identifying and implementing relatively low-cost operational and maintenance improvements.

Upon completion of Fundamental Performance Testing, 30 corrective action items were found. Many corrective action items included tool pouch fixes, as well as fixing damaged insulation on valves, sealing duct flex connections, and calibrating supply and return air temperature sensors on central air handling units.
