Overseeing sales and operations of Eneractive’s New York City office, Keith’s entire professional career has been as a consultant in the field of energy conservation, system optimization and performance. With more than 20 years of experience, Keith is a pioneer in the field of retro-commissioning and has extensive knowledge in the conducting of energy audits and the technical and economic evaluation of energy conservation opportunities.
Keith is certified in Building Commissioning by NEBB and is familiar with all aspects of HVAC and utility system commissioning with specialty knowledge in the areas of large central chilled water plants, air handlers and air distribution systems.
With over 14 years of experience in the energy engineering and consulting industry, Saverio has managed onsite commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, balancing and analysis for a wide range of HVAC equipment and systems. Having commissioned millions of sq. ft. of commercial, pharmaceutical and industrial space, he has been invited to speak to at numerous events for the USGBC, BOMA, IFMA, BCxA and AEE. Saverio has been instrumental in assisting OLTPS in defining energy audit and Retro-Cx legislation (Local Law 87) as part of the Mayor’s PlaNYC 2030 goals. He is currently working with NYC’s Department of Building on a similar effort to further define the Cx process.
As a contributor to the LEED training process, GPRO, Saverio’s dedication to advancing the industry earned him the “2011 Urban Green Service Award” from the NYC Chapter of the US Green Building Council. More recently, Saverio was a Finalist for an Urban Green “EBie Award” highlighting a project with significant operational contribution for MSKCC.
As Project Field Specialist for Eneractive with over 10 years of experience, John performs field testing for retro-commissioning, com- missioning and test, adjust, and balancing (TAB) projects. During his three years at Eneractive, John has worked with clients such as Pfizer, New York University, Tishman-Speyer, and Related Properties, and brings a wealth of professional experience to the table.
With over 27 years of comprehensive energy engineering experience in the residential sector, Thelma has managed full program design, management and implementation for weatherization and energy programs funded by DOE, HUD, HCR, HPD, and NYSERDA. Having performed more than 1500 energy audits mostly instrumented energy model assessments, Thelma have supervised extensive energy implementation projects dealing with building systems consisting of HVAC, distribution and piping, lighting, building envelope, IAQ, and building controls. Thelma has also provided services for the green building technical assistance; capital needs assessments; construction management; bid management; owner contract negotiations; and energy educational programs for multifamily buildings as well as non-for-profit institutions and organizations.
Mr. Born is responsible for any air/water testing and balancing, as well as ACH analysis and commissioning work in the field. He has worked as a lead building analyst for the NEw Jersey Clean Energy Program.
Mr. Matyola has 28 years’ of experience in the HVAC industry- Including:Troubleshooting, Controls Design and Installation, HVAC Design and Installation, Onsite Project Supervision, Testing and Balancing Execution andSupervision, New Building and Retro Commissioning.
As a Field Engineer for ENERActive Solutions, Marc is directly involved in the commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, balancing and analysis for a wide range of HVAC equipment and systems. He has a great deal of experience in testing HVAC equipment for multiple mission critical facilities such as hospitals, research facilities, television studios, financial institutions, and data centers.
Developing and executing Eneractive’s marketing strategy and initiatives, Justine is responsible for content creation and management, advertising, and public relations. Supporting Eneractive’s sales team, she also spearheads the Eneractive proposal process, providing document and quality control throughout their life cycle. Prior to Eneractive, Justine served as the marketing manager liaison to CUNY for a series of energy conservation workshops, inaddition to working as the lead project team member drafting proposals for a local NGO based in Kosovo, commissioned by the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM).
Currently, Justine volunteers as a research analyst for an international NGO engaged in water management and sustainable access to clean drinking water. She holds an MA in International Affairs.
With 30 years of experience in both mechanical and electrical systems, Jim has cultivated expertise in various aspects of planning, designing, construction, commissioning and operation of energy generating & energy consuming mechanical and electrical systems. Specifically, he has dedicated the last 6 years performing energy efficiency and design work – having led over 150 energy audits, retro-commissioning studies and energy efficiency studies on a wide variety of facilities.
Prior to entering the energy consulting field, Jim spent 20+ years in Telecom/Data Centers and critical facilities. He has reviewed numerous datacenters for compliance with the latest standards based best practices developed by government and trade groups in recent years. Jim is an expert in both energy efficiency in data centers and reliability/security of operation.
Jim holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and MS in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, as well as an MBA in Marketing/International Business from New York University.
Dane is a highly dedicated and meticulous energy conservation engineer, committed to lowest feasible project energy and cost expenditure. He has an excellent record of client cost reduction across a variety of corporate enterprises and proven ability to work independently with little to no supervision or as a team player.
As a Senior Project Manager for Eneractive, Mr. Wimmer leads large energy auditing and retro-commissioning projects in New York and New Jersey by leading and coordinating staff, managing client expectations, and supporting business development.
Mr. Wimmer has 30 years of experience in various aspects of planning, designing, construction, commissioning, and operation of energy generating and energy consuming mechanical and electrical systems. Since the start of his career, he has performed operational and financial management and funded numerous capital projects with energy efficiency savings.
He has specialized knowledge of controls and HVAC systems. Systems commissioned included: HVAC, building automation systems, plumbing, and electrical as well as hospital and outpatient surgery centers. His responsibilities included: ASHRAE Energy Audit, LEED associated documentation, project scheduling, contractor supervision, oversight and interpretation of contract specifications, blueprints and schematics, as well as sales and customer relationship management.
Providing proactive project support, productivity, and documentation and quality control on Eneractive projects throughout their life cycle, Sarah also coordinates and executes Eneractive’s marketing and sales initiatives. Sarah also curates Eneractive’s social channels and executes digital marketing collateral to assist in the growth and recognition of the Eneractive brand and identity.
Currently, Zack is a field engineer with ENERActive Solutions. He has a over two years of experience energy auditing, commissioning and retro- commissioning commercial, healthcare and higher education facilities.
As a project manager for ENERActive, he has built upon his technical skills thorough hands-on mechanical system interaction. Accountable for energy project management and technical development at Eneractive, Matt has performed comprehensive energy audits on residential and commercial facilities and has designed and installed high-velocity HVAC systems for clients. He holds his Bachelor of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
Karl Weissert has more than 15 years of experience with HVAC systems, cogeneration plants, natural gas driven systems, compressed air systems, pumping systems, steam plants, chiller plants and process systems. Mr. Weissert has managed hundreds of field engineering projects that have included energy auditing, new construction commissioning and retrocommissioning, performance testing and troubleshooting of a wide range of building systems to improve performance and increase efficiency.
